Limewire is so far, the fastest P2P file-sharing applications in the internet today. I had a Basic version of it yet I’m satisfied with its performance. I can download songs, videos, games, documents (.doc, .txt, etc.) and even pictures. This is my best internet-connected software. As a student, I really needed such for my own necessities in school. Downloading gets easy with this portable program. Even if search engines may provide some links to download sites, those sites sometimes do not provide quality downloads and sometimes, require membership to the site itself.
It also has a very clean and user-friendly interface. Its edge against its co-competitors in the online market is its easily-navigable environment. There is easy access to whichever file you want to download. Plus, you can also download multiple downloads at the same time.
The latest version, Limewire 5.1.2, offers the same service as the previous. However, the redesign gave it a professional makeover. Two search bars and two sidebars are the dominating key features of the new Limewire. The upper search bar scans through the entire P2P network. However, the lower sidebar searches within the library only. Also, the new version provides a more high-powered search because it can now view details about where the file has been downloaded which is quite essential for users who are more concerned of the quality of the file depending on where it came from.
I always have Limewire in my flash drive so that when the need for fast download arises, I just hook it up in an internet-accessed computer to have the file downloaded immediately. The best thing that I like about it is that its wide range of possible searched items made it very user-convenient. Also, the download rate plays between moderate to fast. Although there were times when downloading gets slow, that happens when there will be fluctuations in internet connection.
